These birds are full of character and provide a good

introduction to random weaving for beginners. 

Create your own bird to perch at home or in the

garden. Most people make a chicken, pheasant

or a duck.  This free-form technique can be adapted

to create many shapes and forms.

Traditional Willow Rib/Frame Baskets

Learn this traditional technique to make a small

round basket with a handle, perfect for storing

eggs or fruit. This method would have been used by

unskilled workers, farm labourers or travellers,

often using wild hedgerow material.
